Natick is a Massachusetts town and part of Middlesex County. It is situated close to the center of the Metro West area of Massachusetts and has a population of approximately 32,170. It is fifteen miles west of Boston and included as part of the Greater Boston metro area. Natick was settled in 1651 by a Puritan missionary, John Eliot. It was 1781 before the town was officially incorporated. Henry Wilson, the 18th United States Vice President, lived the majority of his life as a Natick schoolteacher and shoemaker. He is buried in Natick and one of the middle schools there is his namesake.

Downtown Natick, commonly referred to as Natick Center, is situated at the Main Street & Central Street intersection and is the heart of the town. Sitting along side public buildings, there are a few banks, churches and other businesses including funeral homes, insurance companies, and a few specialty retail stores, ice cream and pizza shops. South Natick is familiar for its beautiful nature. It is where the first settlers arrived and started the town along the Charles River. A common error many people make is thinking that South Natick is another town, but it is just one of the communities. Natick is made up of several more communities that all have unique attractions to offer.
